My Story
paola garbarino
Hi, I’m Paola—a certified health and nutrition coach who helps women in pre, peri and post-menopause feel stronger, happier, and more at home in their bodies.
My journey to health coaching didn’t begin in a gym or a kitchen. My first career was in global finance, where I learned to navigate high-stakes decisions at some of the world’s top firms. But it wasn’t until midlife that I truly turned my attention inward—and discovered a new calling.
While I didn’t experience many of the classic menopausal symptoms, I began facing health challenges that were new to me. At first, I didn’t connect them to menopause at all. The more I explored, the more I realized how little we’re taught about this stage of life—and how early we should really start preparing for it.
That curiosity quickly became a passion. I immersed myself in research, earned certifications with Precision Nutrition and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and started helping others make sense of the changes happening in their bodies. I also trained in breathwork, becoming certified in the Oxygen Advantage® and Buteyko methods—science-backed approaches that support the nervous system, improve resilience, and enhance overall health through functional breathing.
What became increasingly clear to me is that so many of the challenges women face in midlife don’t begin in midlife at all. They are shaped years—often decades—earlier. I often think about how different my own experience might have been if I had been better informed sooner about the impact of nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and even breathing habits. This is why my work also speaks to younger women: not to create fear around aging, but to encourage education and preparation as an act of self-respect and empowerment.
Today, I work with women who want clarity, strength, and long-term wellness—without restriction or fads. My approach is grounded in science and fueled by a belief that health is never “done.” It’s something we build and refine over time, with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to ourselves.
If you’re ready to embrace this chapter with confidence and joy, I’d love to support you on your journey.
